Solar thermal power generation refers to the technology that converts solar thermal energy to thermal energy of heat transfer fluid before transmitting its thermal energy to power generation system for power generation. The technology stores thermal energy of sunlight through fused salt in daytime and releases it in cloudy day without sunlight and at night for continuous power generation. It is more environmental friendly than photovoltaic power generation and more stable than wind power generation, capable of supplying power on grid directly. It is green and environmental friendly energy with the most promising development currently. 

Fused salt for heat storage is a very crucial system in solar thermal power generation. Fused salt mainly is potassium nitrate or salt-mixture made of potassium nitrate. Due to corrosiveness and pit requirement of equipment, potassium nitrate for fused salt has very strict requirements for quality. Besides high purity requirement, content of impurity ion is required to be very low, content of chlorine ion (CI-) in particular, which is the cause of corrosion and affecting equipment service life. 

For high purity potassium nitrate manufactured by our Company, its main content can be above 99.9%, chlorine ion (CI-) content is below 40ppm, carbonate is below 40ppm and sulphate is below 30ppm. It is the optimal selection of solar fused salt.
